Randy started in the Seed Wheat business in 1966 when his dad Robert and him traveled to Lincoln, NE and picked up 50 bushel bags of the newly released variety Scout66. From planting 50 acres of Foundation Seed Wheat in 1966 to planting over 3000 acres today of Foundation and Registered Seed, it is still a family endeavor.
Randy with Sons Ryan and Randon have helped grow the family business along with Grandsons Cole, Harrison and Ryland. All the Seed Wheat is grown on their own Farm in Hitchcock and Red Willow Counties in Southwest Nebraska. All seed is naturally watered by Mother Nature. We sell only what we grow ourselves (no contract growers) so we can ensure the quality of our products. From planting to harvesting with our own Combines and all the steps in between Fertilizing, Herbicides and Spraying Fungicide we do it all! All of our seed wheat is grown on land that is in a three year rotation.
All seed is cleaned with a Large Cimbria Air Screen Cleaner then run thru 4 Large (indent) Lenth graders, two taking out the short seeds and two taking out the long seed then seed travels thru 2 Oliver gravity tables to ensure every seed is the same size and weight.
